Welcome in. As you can probably see, the home site has sprung a leak, but the Mario Bros should get here eventually to fix it.
I tested the water block out last week. My CPU temps dropped a solid 20°C after installing an actual radiator instead of a coil of copper pipe.
After this whole experiment, I've gotten even more ideas for potential coolers. The most promising design of the bunch is one for a hybrid CPU air cooler and water block.
The primary issue with a water block is the potential for pump failure or other unseen misshap that can kill your loop.
Currently I cant even use my test rig cause i had to drain it for resizing some of the tubes.
Theoretically, if the water block always had an air cooler built in, it could be altered or drained while the system is still running.
It'll take a lot of materials but it shouldn't be that hard to make if I use a laser cutter.
I'll drop in an update of and when I ever get around to actually making it though.
Welp.
That's all for Entry 2
